Andry Rajoelina announces the end of the state of health

The President of the Republic Andry Rajoelina delivered for the last time on Sunday evening, October 18, his bi-monthly speech, which has been introduced since the start of the incarceration in March.

“We won the war. It is with this sentence that Andry Rajoelina declared Madagascar almost out of the pandemic of the coronavirus epidemic.

On the other hand, the reopening of the borders scheduled for 29 October is canceled. The last return flight is scheduled for November 1st. Nosy Be Airport will remain open, but not to countries suffering from another wave of coronavirus. Wearing a mask remains mandatory, as are removal procedures.

Madagascar has 238 deaths in just over 16,000 cases.
