• We aim to link or attribute official statements, public records, and named sources where available.

Opinion and analysis

Opinion pieces, editorials, and analysis are labeled separately from straight news reporting. These pieces may interpret events or argue for a viewpoint, but they should not be confused with hard-news dispatches.

Attribution and sourcing

Axadle prefers named sources, official statements, documents, and on-the-record material. When security or access constraints require caution, we still aim to describe the basis for a claim as precisely as possible.
