North Western State of Somalia Intelligence Investigates Armed Supporters of Kulmiye Party at Hargeisa Rally
Hargeisa (AX) — An investigation has been kicked off by North Western State of Somalia’s intelligence folks into some hot-headed fans of the Kulmiye party. These lads reportedly strutted around a Monday night rally in Hargeisa armed to the teeth with pistols and rifles, raising eyebrows and heart rates.
The National Intelligence Agency (NIA) let the cat out of the bag, mentioning that live rounds were popped off in a Hargeisa neighborhood, sending the crowd into a tizzy.
“Those hooligans toting shotguns and causing mayhem during last night’s Kulmiye shindig are in our crosshairs. We’ll clap ’em in irons soon enough. Got more deets? Holler at 9000,” tweeted the NIA.
Meanwhile, the Wadani party’s bigwigs are hollering at the authorities to clamp down on these rowdy ruffians. They’re waving a red flag that these shenanigans might put a cloud over the upcoming November elections.
The curtain came down on the first chapter of North Western State of Somalia’s election jamboree on Monday, with Kulmiye basking in the glow of popular backing. The next act kicked off come Tuesday.
Seeing supporters brandishing weapons during the campaign trail is unheard of in North Western State of Somalia, sparking jitters about what might be brewing as election day inches closer.
