Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that the young winger Anthony Elanga gives him the best type of headache at Manchester United.
The 19-year-old crept into the first team’s picture last season, made two appearances towards the end of the season and reached his first goal in the last day’s victory over Wolves, and he has continued that moment with goals against both QPR and Brentford during the pre-season.

With the arrival of Jadon Sancho and the expensive teenager Amad Diallo who also competed for places in Solskjaer’s squad, Elanga had expected to take out a loan this season, but the boss admitted that he struggled to ignore the player’s form so far this summer.

Solskjaer stressed that Elanga’s future will be linked to Amad and Marcus Rashford, the latter considering undergoing shoulder surgery that could cause him to miss the first three months of United’s campaign.
“First with Marcus, we’ll make a decision in the next few days when we check him out again,” the boss explained. “We will see what is best for him and what is best for the club, it must be considered.
