Nobody believed it anymore, the wait was so long. But Laurent Gbagbo arrived at 18.00 at Mother. A completely uncontrollable love followed, the police were quickly overwhelmed. Dozens of men ran after the former president’s car. It took almost half an hour before the domestic child could get out of the vehicle. People jumped and danced everywhere.
Laurent Gbagbo has given up speaking on the platform in the face of the security risk. He therefore briefly thanked the people who had come to welcome him before returning to his mother’s home and its 17-hectare park landscape.
