RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) is steadfastly extending its helping hands to those in dire need across Yemen, Chad, and Somalia.
KSrelief brought together 1,039 families in Yemen’s Al-Dhale Governorate by handing out an equal number of food boxes, as reported by SPA.
Meanwhile, in Chad, the Guera Region received 600 food parcels, part of KSrelief’s mission this year to bolster food security and support struggling communities.
In Somalia, a range of health and environmental initiatives launched by KSrelief marked significant progress. Notably, the country’s inaugural National Blood Bank in Mogadishu promises to cater to 32 healthcare facilities by providing various blood types.
Unveiling a new chapter in their efforts, the project’s second phase has initiated operations at the kidney dialysis center in Mogadishu. Fresh water solutions surfaced with the construction of an artesian well and a plant for purifying water.
Since it first set sail on its humanitarian voyage, KSrelief has spearheaded 3,105 aid projects around the globe, affecting 104 nations with contributions surpassing $7 billion.
The Kingdom stands at the forefront as a benefactor to UN entities, heavily involved in relief and humanitarian missions, stated SPA.
Fruitful alliances with UN bodies have seen KSrelief channel $2.854 billion into 345 projects, casting a wide net over key areas like health, nutrition, education, food security, agriculture, water, and sanitation.
