In Ethiopia, the war in Tigray has now lasted eleven days. The conflict is still very difficult to estimate due to the cut-off of all telecommunications in the province. The government has taken over a small part of the western part of the province but clashes continue.

The international community fears abuse in Tigray. The UN is talking about a very high risk of war crimes … Since this Saturday morning, November 14, the conflict seems to have been exported from Tigray, in this case in the neighboring province of Amhara where two cities were attacked by rocket fire.
The explosions were heard in Gondar and Baher Dar, two cities in Amhara province located 100 and 220 kilometers south of the front line, respectively.
In both cases, it was the airports that were targeted, the government assures, specifying that rockets were sent by the Tigrayan army.
The attack was actually claimed by the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) later in the day. The latest report shows at least two dead and 15 injured. Tigrayan’s leader, Debretsion Gebremichael, assures that all airports used to attack Tigray will be a potential target.
Since the fighting began, the airports in the two cities have actually been important logistics points for the government. Air force planes and helicopters are there.
A source in Baher Dar also reports a shooting in the middle of the night around the city’s military camp. TPLF has announced that there will be further retaliation and more missile fire.
