On the morning of Wednesday, April 14, at Bamako Airport, among passengers boarding Timbuktu (northwestern resort), a man was discreetly arrested by police. Very quickly it was learned that he is considered one of the suspects in the murder of Sidi Brahimi Ould Sidati.
According to our information, it is still in the forensic investigation brigade. He is quite young with Malian nationality and he runs a business owned by his deceased father.
On his involvement in the case, relatives of Sidi Brahimi Ould Sidati wonder and say that they are waiting impatiently for the results of investigation. Other arrests cannot be ruled out, and no clue is overlooked: solving points, the jihadist or even the struggle for influence in the Timbuktu region.
There is agreement among several observers that it is “enemies of peace” who have committed or ordered the act.
