Premier League trio eye Reiss Nelson
Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson is a target for a trio of Premier League clubs, with his future at the Emirates Stadium still far from certain.
The 21-year-old has only one year left on his contract at the Emirates Stadium and has not been able to force himself into Mikel Arteta’s plans despite the Spaniard exposing his youngsters Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe to lots of first team football.
Nelson has previously been loaned out in the Bundesliga and spent a season honing his skills with TSG Hoffenheim in 2018/19. But his return to north London has not worked out as planned, and he barely played for the Gunners – in the Premier League, at least – last season.
Now CBS Sports reports that Crystal Palace, Brighton and new boys Brentford are monitoring his situation, as well as several Bundesliga sides and Greek giants Olympiacos.
Arsenal have offered Nelson an extension of his contract, but with the proviso that he will be loaned out for regular football in 2021/22. That lack of commitment has made Nelson unable to put pen to paper, which means the Gunners may be forced to sanction a summer sale to ward off the threat of losing him for free next summer.

Nelson could negotiate a contract before a contract with a team from abroad already in January, which gives Arsenal even less time to give Nelson the first team opportunities he wants.
Should Crystal Palace make a move, Nelson would be the latest addition to a growing list of young players gathered at Selhurst Park. The Eagles have released a number of players this summer and leave the new boss Patrick Vieira with a significant remodeling job on their hands.
The high-ranking teenager Michael Olise has arrived in south London from Reading and it is likely that he will join the club by Chelsea defender Marc Guehi, who impressed on a season loan at Swansea last season.
Meanwhile, Brighton are also targeting young players, while Brentford are strengthening as they prepare for their first season as Premier League outfit. Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer is expected to be their first big signing of the summer and join the bees for what will be a club record fee.
