Large hailstones battered Masvingo in southeastern Zimbabwe, damaging homes, vehicles and other property. Residents said unusually large chunks of ice struck the city, denting cars, puncturing roofs and shattering windows.
The extent of the damage is still being assessed. As residents begin the arduous work of clearing debris and making repairs, the full cost of the storm remains unknown.
