Somalia’s 64th Independence Day and the 50-year milestone of Qatar-Somalia diplomatic ties were marked with a reception in Doha, hosted by Somalia’s embassy.

Ambassador Dr Mohamed Ahmed Sheikh Ali, alongside Qatar’s Foreign Affairs Minister and Cabinet Member HE Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Protocol Division head ambassador HE Ibrahim Fakhroo, and Diplomatic Corps dean and Eritrean envoy Ali Ibrahim Ahmed, jointly cut the symbolic cake for the event.
