In response to a ferry disaster that claimed more than 90 lives, the government is weighing plans to increase the number of boats in service, Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister Felix Mhona told a parliamentary hearing. He said additional vessels would give passengers more travel options and help ease overcrowding.
Mhona also said the government was intensifying efforts to strengthen safety measures across water transport.
