Goncalo Guedes connected to moves
Super agent Jorge Mendes wants to secure his client Goncalo Guedes to move to Tottenham.
The Valencia striker has been identified as one of the players the club would be willing to make money on this summer as they look to alleviate their ongoing financial worries.
Mendes had been in contact with Wolves earlier this summer regarding a possible deal for the Portuguese international, but after Nuno Espirito Santos’ departure from Molineux, Deporte Valenciano (via Sport Witness) now reports that Mendes has turned his attention to Spurs when he looks to seal a move away for his client.
During Nuno’s time at Wolves, he transformed the club’s fortune thanks to not only some fantastic Portuguese signings with the permission of his band with Mendes.
Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota were both central to Wolves’ campaign during Nuno’s first season in Molineux, while the respective arrivals of Rui Patricio and Joao Moutinho helped them strengthen their place in the top flight.
Nuno’s move to north London has led many to speculate on whether Mendes will continue his “partnership” with the former Wolves boss, and early signs suggest we may soon see an influx of Portuguese players at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The report adds that Mendes “seems to agree with everything” when he desperately tries to strike a deal that would get Guedes to join Spurs, but it remains to be seen whether Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici will be persuaded to sanction a move.
Guedes has been known to play anywhere over the front line, something that could benefit Spurs going forward after Gareth Bale returned to parent club Real Madrid.
There have also been questions about Steven Bergwijn’s future at the club, where Ajax reportedly runs a business for the Dutch freight forwarder.
