A High Court ruling blocking the extradition of self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife to South Africa has been welcomed by Bushiri, who faces allegations of fraud, money laundering and rape.
Bushiri said the court had accepted key concerns he raised, including what he described as insufficient evidence and the continued anonymity of “so-called witnesses.” He further alleged that police officers fabricated charges against him and his wife in an effort to extort money.
