Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the signing of Barcelona starlet Francisco Trincao, with the winger originally on loan with an option to buy.
The 21-year-old has only spent one season in Catalonia, but with the club in financial trouble, they want to make money on as many players as possible.

The Wolves announced on Sunday morning that they have completed the signing of Trincao, who will join the club on a season-long loan and become Bruno Lage’s second transfer of the summer.
The Premier League side also included a buy-in clause in the deal, which according to The Athletic is believed to be around 25 million pounds – a corresponding figure as the fee that Barça paid just 12 months ago.
Trincao arrived at Camp Nou from Braga in the summer of 2020 for a fee of € 31 million. However, he failed to make a real impression in Catalonia and scored three goals in 28 matches, with most of these appearances from the bench.
The edge suffered from the fact that he was forced to share the right tasks with captain and football legend Lionel Messi, which left him with some hope of nailing down a starting position or making an impact on the side.

In the end, he could only complete a full 90 minutes once during his time in La Liga, as he struggled to gain the faith of Barça coach Ronald Koeman. He is still extremely highly ranked as a star for the future, but he scored nine goals and gave 13 assists during his last season in Braga back in 2019/20.
The new Wolves coach Lage aims to build his own squad this summer, and the marking of Trincao is an important declaration of intent. The Portuguese kid is the second player to arrive in Molineux to date as he follows Colombian defender Yerson Mosquera, who signed from Atletico Nacional.
