The fire brigade is making progress as the Algerians pray for those who have lost

Firefighters in Algeria are finally making progress in their fight against fires that have ravaged northern parts of the country. The rescue service says most of the forest fires in the worst-affected region of Tizi Ouzou have been extinguished thanks to firefighters, army engineers, civilian volunteers and the help of two French firefighting planes. Powered by high winds and extreme heat, the fires have killed at least 90 people since August 9.
