Jurgen Klopp has indicated that talks are underway with Mohamed Salah about a new Liverpool contract.
The Egyptian forward has two years left to run on his current Anfield contract. Liverpool recently announced new contracts for Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson, Fabinho and Virgil van Dijk, and will hope that new terms can be agreed with Salah.

Klopp has said that it is natural to assume that talks will take place with Salah, but that he would only talk openly about the subject when some official announcement has been made by the club.
“I’m involved in pretty much everything in the club,” said Klopp, according to quotes on Liverpool’s official club’s website. “Maybe some conversations happen without me, it’s possible, but other than that I know about everything. That’s how it always is: we do not really talk about this kind of thing.
“I know we obviously changed it a little bit with Hendo but that does not mean we will talk from now on, tell about every little step we take in some form of negotiation and stuff like that.
“Mo is obviously in a really, really good moment in football, in the mood, how he behaved from the first day when he came back, absolutely fantastic. We are all adults, we are all professionals. When there are conversations then there are conversations. – and when there is a decision, we tell it.
“Until then, it’s just important how the parties work together on these things. It’s not about Mo, it’s more in general. If it’s perfect, what it is, we do not need to talk about anything else and the decisive people can talk. With two years left, you can imagine there are conversations, that’s it. “
