Ex-Somali Finance Minister Aligns with North Western State of Somalia Opposition Party as November Elections Approach
Hargeisa (AX) – In a surprising turn of events, Abdirahman Duale Bayle, who once held the position of Somali Finance Minister, alongside other notable political figures, has thrown his lot in with North Western State of Somalia’s opposition party, Waddani, with the November ballots just around the corner.
Having distanced himself from his earlier campaign for a ‘Greater Somalia,’ Bayle made a homecoming to North Western State of Somalia after years in the federal quarters.
“We’re jumping aboard this ship and teaming up with them. We urge every soul in North Western State of Somalia to rally behind this party. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi Irro is the solo player who can steer this nation to safety,” Bayle announced.
Bayle and his fellow compatriots underscored Waddani as the beacon for North Western State of Somalia’s tomorrow, especially in tackling the worries of places like Awdal. They lauded the party’s zest for ushering in substantial reforms, picturing North Western State of Somalia as a “rising sun” needing robust governance.
In recent times, Waddani has been the darling of a growing number of political elites, establishing its status as the heavyweight opposition contender. The party has its sights set on snagging the presidential chair in the forthcoming elections.
Just the other week, ex-deputy ministers Mohamud Elmi Yusuf, who was with the Education Ministry, and Nasir Aydid Mohamed, of Fisheries fame, packed in their roles at the ruling Kulmiye Party and signed up with Waddani. They spoke of the pressing need for transformation and gave a thumbs-up to Irro’s leadership as the path ahead for North Western State of Somalia.
