How to watch TV in the UK and US

Brazil and Ecuador will meet on Sunday at the Olympic Stadium Pedro Ludovico in Goiânia.

Brazil currently leads Group B in the Copa America 2021 with nine points after securing their third victory. The host nation remains undefeated during the tournament and approaches a close draw against Colombia before Casemiro scored the match-winning goal in the second half.

Despite the results, fans expected more from Brazil as they struggled to dominate early. Ecuador, on the other hand, is in fourth place with two points. A goal difference of only two separates fifth place Venezuela from Ecuadorians. Gustavo Alfaro’s men must get a point against Brazil if they want to be sure of hitting the knockout round.

In an expected but overwhelming way, Tite’s men have secured the group’s top position and will advance to the competition stage. Casemiro proved to be the hero against Colombia by scoring a goal in the last minute that maintained the team’s undefeated distance.

Despite the goal, the team did not seem as convincing as fans would have hoped. Neymar continued to lead the attack with the help of Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino. The team is currently not facing any injuries or positive cases from Covid-19 and should have a completely healthy squad for the match against Ecuador.

Ecuador remains at the other end of Group B and is fighting desperately to uphold the Copa America hopes. Ecuador went the first two matches without a win and lost to Colombia before drawing against Venezuela. If Ecuador fails to match Venezuela’s result in the final group stage, the team will wave goodbye to the tournament.

Ecuador handled some roster problems at the start of the tournament, but managed to find a solid start XI at this point.

Brazil: Weverton; Danilo, Marquinhos, Silva, Alex Sandro; Richarlison, Fred, Casemiro, Everton; Neymar, Jesus.

Ecuador: Galindez; Preciado, Arboleda, Hincapie, Estupinan; Franco, Mendez, Caicedo, Preciado; Diaz; Campana.

Historically, Brazil has dominated against Ecuador during all competitions. It will be difficult for Ecuador to break the road as Brazil currently has a three-match winning streak. The two nations were last confronted three weeks ago during a World Cup qualifier, where Brazil recorded a 2-0 victory over Ecuador.

The win served as Brazil’s 11th victory in the last 15 clashes against Ecuador. It has been almost ten years since the Copa America host nation in 2021 conceded a goal against the side led by Alfaro.

Ecuador cannot take into account Brazil’s recent disappointing performance when the host country returns with revenge. Ecuador must attack from the start, as Brazil will hit every loose ball or opportunity available.

Given the situation, however, the host nation will enter the match as clear favorites with Neymar ready to lead the crime. This will not be a match with many goals, but Brazil is expected to take the lead.

Prediction: Brazil 2-0 Ecuador
