Galmudug Leader Blames Politicians for Fueling Inter-Clan Strife in Mudug Region

Dhusamareb (AX) – Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qor Qor, the head honcho of Galmudug regional state, has pointed fingers at politically-driven factions for stirring up the hornet’s nest of inter-clan skirmishes between militias from Northeastern State and Galmudug.

According to President Qor Qor, those fueled by political aspirations are fanning the flames of clan conflicts, making them a greater menace than the boogeyman of al-Shabab lurking in their midst.

“There are two folks stirring trouble among us. First, the terrorist sympathizers wreaking havoc. Second, the so-called politicos who have forsaken divine fear, are tearing the nation apart,” shared President Qor Qor.

He tipped his hat to the peacemaking efforts of scholars and committees from both territories who journeyed to the danger zones to disentangle the warring militias and plan a reconciliation shindig.

In last week’s fray over land, which sparked between the Sa’ad and Lelakase sub-clans near Goldogob and Saah Qurun in Mudug, around 30 souls perished and over 50 were injured amidst the tumult.
