Hungary predicted line-up against France

The defeat against Portugal in their first Euro 2020 game was difficult for Hungary, and they are against it now because their hopes of surviving Group F are hanging in the balance.

They need four points from their last two matches to avoid leaving anything to chance, and it is not an enviable task in the least, with the last two world champions waiting.

But Marco Rossi’s team would always disturb the odds somewhere if they were to make it out of the death squad, so it could just as easily be France, right? Here predicts the 90min’s line-up which gives Hungary the best chance to cause a huge outrage.

Peter Gulacsi (GK) – One of the first names on the Hungarian team sheet, the Leipzig goalkeeper will have a lot to do if he is to keep such as Kylian Mbappe, Karim Benzema and Antoine Griezmann away.

Endre Botka (CB) – Probably the most impressive of the three backs against Portugal. Will fight Akos Kecskes for a starting spot but has done little to lose his place in the team.

Willi Orban (CB) – In Hungary the team to win challenges and kick the ball in contact and he usually does quite well. The organizer in the heart of the page.

Attila Szalai (CB) – No relationship with the man at the other end of the field and not as important either – but he gets there.

Gergo Lovrencsics (RWB) – Commentator’s nightmare, this guy. Ger-ghu Lovren-chich.

Loic Nego (CM) – Hungary could do with a little creativity from the midfield and Nego gave something from the bench against Portugal. He’s also on many people’s fantasy football teams, for some reason.

Adam Nagy (CM) – The Bristol City man is in line for his 50th cap and has become an integral part of Rossi’s side.

Laszlo Kleinheisler (CM) – Not the sexiest player on Hungary’s side but Kleinheisler is a reliable footman who does his midfield job carefully. Will probably have the task of getting to Paul Pogba and turning off the supply at the source.

Attila Fiola (LWB) – Usually a right-back at club level but seems to have made the left-back position his own for his country.

Roland Sallai (CF) – Coming into the back of a productive season with Freiburg and had netted twice in his last two matches before the Portugal conflict. Will be looking to rediscover his scoring gift here.

Adam Szalai (CF) – A central part of Euro 2020’s great man experience, and he also has good hair. The captain has 23 goals in 72 internationals and his physique is a critical outlet for his side – even if he can not actually run.
