EA FC 25 will be released in September, giving football fans around the world the chance to play as their favorite stars in a variety of game modes.
Whether it’s Ultimate Team or Career Mode, players will be spoiled for choice with EA Sports’ latest iteration of the long-running series, even if this is only its second edition away from the FIFA brand.
While the discourse previously revolved around who would have the highest rating between multiple Ballon d’Or winners Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, this year there will be a few ballers hoping to top the charts.
Here’s what we know about EA FC 25’s in-game ratings so far.

Video game enthusiasts are still waiting for official word from EA Sports about the top ratings for the upcoming release, but some Ultimate Team cards have already been revealed.
EA has confirmed some legendaries that will be available as “Dynamic Heroes”. These are iconic former stars who will have an initial Origin Hero card before being upgraded to Prime Hero status at the end of November.
These players include former Premier League stars Eden Hazard, Jamie Carragher and Yaya Toure as well as dam icons Celia Sasic, Fara Williams and Laura Georges.

EA has yet to confirm any ratings aside from “Dynamic Heroes,” but they are expected to drop before the game’s release.
Ratings have dipped in mid-September before and that is expected to be the case again for EA FC 25. It could be either Friday, September 13 or Monday 16 September.
The grades below have been “leaked” and circulated on social media, with a number of players set to receive handsome upgrades after impressive years. Jude Bellingham was 86 last year, but after a season in which he delivered clutch moment after clutch moment, the England international could be entering his 90s this time around.
However, that wouldn’t make the Ballon d’Or hopeful the highest-rated player in the game. Various leaks have four players – Rodri, Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland and Aitana Bonmati – sharing the top spot with 91 overalls.
Spaniards Rodri and Bonmati will jump up a grade each if the rumors are true, while Mbappe and Haaland retain their points from EA FC 24. With Bellingham on 90, Vinicius Junior, Harry Kane, Kevin De Bruyne, Alexia Putellas, Sam Kerr will reportedly join and Caroline Graham Hansen.
Virgil van Dijk will become the highest-rated defender in the game at 89 – the same score as Liverpool team-mate Mohamed Salah – while Lionel Messi is still seen among the world’s best at 88. However, it looks like Cristiano Ronaldo’s rating will take another hit despite a goal-filled first full campaign in Saudi Arabia in the Saudi Pro League.
There will of course be a chance for players to earn enhanced cards in EA FC 25 through their performances on the pitch in the 2024/25 season. Team of the Week cards reward stars for impressing with boosted stats, while Team of the Year cards are awarded to the best players of each season.
