Predicted lineup vs Udinese in Serie A

Juventus start their Serie A campaign when they travel to Udinese on Sunday night.

The Old Lady enters the new season in hopes of a much improved performance, after only securing Champions League football with a fourth place. The man responsible for bringing Juve back to the Italian football summit is the returning Massimiliano Allegri, who has seen his team take three victories in four friendly matches before the season, including an impressive 3-1 triumph over Atalanta last time out.

The Italian was the mastermind behind five of Juventus’ nine consecutive Scudetti and topped Serie A every season between 2014/15 and 2018/19. And to get In Bianconeri’s upcoming season to a winning start, here’s the lineup Allegri can choose in its opening.

Wojciech Szczęsny (GK) – Has become one of the continent’s leading goalkeepers since joining Turin and should be in line for another season as Juves’ number one.

Juan Cuadrado (RB) – Enjoyed a fantastic campaign last time, took 11 Serie A assist and will continue his brilliant form into the new season. Matthijs de Ligt (CB) – Has gradually acclimatized to life in Serie A and can only continue to even greater heights in the coming months and years. Leonardo Bonucci (CB) – A prominent figure for Italy this summer, there are few better options to have on the midfield.Alex Sandro (LB) – Would again be the favored option to the left of the defense for Juventus and, after a limited contribution at the Copa America for Brazil, will be eager to go on Sunday.

Weston McKennie (CM) – Made his loan deal from Schalke permanent during the summer after a good debut season. Should the latest signing Manuel Locatelli prove ready to start on Sunday, the US international could knock it out here.Rodrigo Bentancur (CM) – Bentancur was a prominent figure on the side last semester and was able to anchor the midfield in this one. Federico Bernardeschi (CM) – Bernardeschi was brought to the club by Allegri in 2017 and has not lived up to the potential he showed during his early days at Fiorentina. But a good Euro 2020 campaign and impressive pre-season – including the scream above against Atalanta – should get him to start this one.

Federico Chiesa (RW) – Had a fantastic summer with Italy and has established himself as a real superstar for European football. Will enter the 2021/22 season as one of Juve’s top men.Paulo Dybala (ST) – Thrived during Allegri in the early stages of his Juventus career and, now that speculation around him has faded, is likely to become a key figure for the Old Lady this season.

Cristiano Ronaldo (LW) – Much has been said about Ronaldo’s status as a Bianconeri player, but the man himself insists that he is committed to his current employers – even if he was not, how do you not start him?
