Manchester City 2021/22 third kit released

Manchester City have released their third kit for the 2021/22 season – and that does not include the club’s brand.

The interesting design sees Cityzens release their famous weapon, instead they choose to fill the space with the words ‘MAN CITY’ in block cities.

The exciting decision is the idea of Puma, who has been producing the club’s kit since 2019. They have not been afraid to take risks before, and chose a paisley-inspired fit for Citys away last campaign.

The decision to settle with the club’s brand is an even bolder move. The sentence is said to be “straight from tomorrow’s archive”. It has a two-tone blue designed with barely visible gray marks dotted all over the shirt. A white Puma logo and sponsor completes the look. The shirt is accompanied by navy blue shorts – which contain a club coat in the traditional sense – and socks.

The kit uses Dope Dye technology, an innovative manufacturing process that helps reduce the amount of water and dyes used in production. The material is dryCELL – a thermoregulation technology that keeps you dry and comfortable. Ultra-light jacquard structure on the back also improves breathability.

It is the last of City’s three kits to be released this season. The home strip has a unique digital clock design, in memory of Sergio Aguero’s last minute winner who won City’s first Premier League title ten seasons ago.

At the same time, their away kit is inspired by water. It has a pure white design and the proceeds from the sale will be used in part for charity.

If you’ve always hated football shirts with badges on, Man City’s third shirt is available from the club’s online store for £ 70 now.
