Kristoffer Klaesson signs a four-year contract
Leeds have confirmed Kristoffer Klaesson’s arrival with the goalkeeper signing a four-year contract at Elland Road.
Marcelo Bielsa has actively sought back-up for first-half stopper Illan Meslier after his investigator Kiko Casilla went to La Liga kit Elche on a season-long loan.

After appearing as a transfer target for the Whites, Klaesson has now completed his move to the Premier League with Leeds taking to their official website to confirm his arrival.
“Leeds United are delighted to announce that goalkeeper Kristoffer Klaesson has signed,” they wrote. The 20-year-old joins the whites from Norwegian Valerenga for an unknown fee.
“After a successful doctor, the goalkeeper has signed a four-year contract on Elland Road, which runs until the summer of 2025.”
News that a deal for Klaesson has been rubber-stamped will be a relief for Bielsa after he was late disappointed in his quest for Conor Gallagher.
The Chelsea midfielder was considered to have undergone a medical with Leeds ahead of a proposed loan transfer earlier this week, but a late blow from Crystal Palace saw the Whites miss the kid.
Still, Bielsa has still had a successful transfer window with Klaesson the sixth new face through the door on Elland Road.

The signings of Lewis Bate, Junior Firpo, Jack Harrison, Sean McGurk and Amari Miller had all been confirmed before the announcement that Klaesson had joined the club.
Leeds secured a very impressive ninth place last season in their first Premier League campaign since 2004, and Bielsa clearly has no mood to rest on his laurels as he looks better next season.
The Whites start their Premier League campaign with a refreshing trip to old enemies Manchester United on August 14, before their first home game of the new season against Everton a week later.
