€ 30 million Manuel Locatelli bid ready

Juventus are preparing an offer of € 30 million plus center-back Radu Dragusin for Italy’s Euro 2020 sensation, Manuel Locatelli.

The 23-year-old is enjoying a breakthrough summer with the Azzurri and made an impressive stay in the recent 3-0 victory over Switzerland in Group A.

His midfield midfielder has got everyone talking, and rumors are growing about a bidding war between some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Now Goal reports that Juve are ready to start the summer auction for Locatelli and will offer Sassuolo 30 million euros for his captain, while sending Romanian starlet Dragusin in the opposite direction.

The introduction of Dragusin sends the transfer value to about 40 million euros, which was Sassuolo’s original asking price. Juventus are keen to get this deal as soon as possible, as they are aware that midfield stocks continue to rise with each passing match.

Locatelli, who played for AC Milan for a couple of seasons before moving on, could see that additional star screens at Euro 2020 met his price tag, and Juve would be forced to offer a higher amount if a bid came from another European club. .

In fact, Sassuolo are likely to delay the negotiations and reject this first approach – as they expect their captaincy to be rocketed when Italy go through the tournament.

Juventus want to strengthen the midfield this summer and have just scratched into the top four in Serie A last season. But the dismissal of Andrea Pirlo, along with the return of Massimiliano Allegri, is a declaration of intent from the Old Lady, and it seems that they are ready to support their boss in the transfer market.

Allegri has lots of things to deal with at Juventus, especially a bloated squad and the midfield deprived of consistency. Locatelli would do that, and any arrival is likely to coincide with several departures – Aaron Ramsey among the players likely to be moved on from the Allianz Stadium this summer.
