South Africa is grieving veteran actor and theatre stalwart Seputla Sebogodi, whose distinguished career spanned more than five decades and left an enduring mark on the country’s television and stage industries.
The Sebogodi family confirmed in a statement that the actor died following complications related to diabetes. The family has asked for privacy as relatives come to terms with the loss.
Best known to many viewers as Kenneth Mashaba in Generations, Sebogodi became a household name through an extensive body of work. His credits included Suburban Bliss, Bophelo ke Semphego, Redemption and, most recently, Scandal! Details of his memorial and funeral service will be announced in due course, the family said.
