as reported from Bamako, Serge Daniel

To see the pictures, the official reunion moved. Imam Mahmoud Dicko spoke to the M5 delegation and said that he agreed to forgive, to turn the page for a fresh start. And as if a new company had begun, the imam even invited his followers to come out on June 4 for an M5 rally that was intended to celebrate the first anniversary of the movement’s creation.

Imam Mahmoud Dicko var a central figure in the M5. But after the fall of President IBK in August 2020, a divorce took place, with some in the movement accusing Mahmoud Dicko of not urging the military to work with them.

Today, M5 returns to the center of the game. Colonel Assimi Goïta has publicly confirmed that he is offering a prime ministerial post to one of his officials. By visiting Imam Mahmoud Dicko, as other allies with whom relations are quite fresh, M5 wants to unite its ranks for future action.
