Shay Mitchell has changed her body in recent months and takes time to prioritize her physical and mental well-being after gaining weight in quarantine. “[I] a pact with myself that 2021 would be different. In a new interview with Women’s health, the Dollface star revealed exactly what she eats in one day and how she uses her experience to model healthy habits for her daughter. Mitchell usually exercises before eating and then replenishes healthy protein when she gets hungry and tells Women’s health that she eats the exact same breakfast every day.

“I’m the biggest fan of this egg quesadilla I saw on TikTok … You climb on the eggs, you put them in a saucepan, and then you put the tortilla on top of it,” Mitchell explains, noting that she usually adds some cheese, mushrooms and spinach to the creation and pair it with a healthy smoothie to be full.

Cauliflower pizza crust

Do you think pizza is limited to celebrities? What if. For lunch, Mitchell uses a cauliflower or broccoli pizza crust to create his own healthy pie. “I drop some spinach and arugula on it and then some ranch,” she explains, adding that her daughter will usually have some of what she eats as well. To end the day, Mitchell usually enjoys a piece of fish and some vegetables, although she sometimes also prepares some pasta or a sweet potato. Her go to dinner at the moment is a piece of baked sea bass topped with garlic, peppers and cayenne and paired with a salad. “My salads have become detailed for me: I cut up green apples and some pomegranate and fennel,” she says. “It sounds crazy but it’s so good.”

Mitchell manages his hunger between meals by talking all day. Her good snacks include vegetables with hummus, Organic DelishFish from Healthy Organics and Lesser Evil Apple Cider Puffs. Mitchell adds that she will sometimes eat more if she is particularly bored. “I also have, as meals for snacks,” she jokes, noting that Beyond Meat salad wraps and sweet potato fries are a staple in her rotation.

Dessert is definitely on the menu for Mitchell, who enjoys her sweet tooth with ice cream from LA-based Wanderlust Creamery (she especially likes their Mango Sticky Rice, Matcha Tea and Ube Crunch flavors) or Jeni’s.
