“I think we’re going to be releasing as much as we can in the near future,” Mr Trump said.
“We’re going to be releasing a lot of things… that we haven’t,” he said.
In February, he ordered US agencies to begin disclosing government files related to UFOs, unidentified aerial phenomena and possible extraterrestrial life, pointing to intense public interest in the subject.
The four-member Artemis II crew — NASA astronauts Victor Glover, Reid Wiseman and Christina Koch, along with Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen — travelled farther into space than any humans before them as their Orion capsule swept around the far side of the moon.
The Artemis II mission, which covered 1,117,515km across two Earth orbits and a dramatic lunar flyby that brought the spacecraft to within more than 6,400km of the moon’s surface, marked the first crewed test flight in NASA’s Artemis program, a series of missions designed to return astronauts to the lunar surface beginning in 2028.
Asked about the prospects for a moon landing, Mr Trump said there was a “good shot” it could happen before he leaves office.
“I mean, we don’t like to say definitely because then you’ll say ‘Oh, we failed, we failed’,” he added.
