Dozens Rescued From Height During Arsenal Victory Parade

What should have been a jubilant procession through north London also tested emergency crews, with about 75 people rescued from height and 16 arrests made during Arsenal’s parade yesterday, officials said.
Thousands of Arsenal supporters packed the streets around the Emirates Stadium to watch the team take part in their Premier League trophy parade.

London Fire Brigade (LFB) said it carried out rescues involving “approximately 75 people” in incidents at height during the celebrations.
LFB Assistant Commissioner Pat Goulbourne said: “Fortunately, the fire caused only a small amount of damage to the exterior of the building.
“Pyrotechnics are also believed to have triggered the fire alarms at several other locations in the area”.
Mr Goulbourne said the scenes had been a “fantastic sight” and added that many supporters were “celebrating their club’s achievement safely”.
North London glowed red as Arsenal fans marked the occasion
The Metropolitan Police said 16 arrests had been made in the area surrounding the Arsenal parade as of 9pm yesterday.
Posting on X, the force said people had been arrested on suspicion of offences including drunk and disorderly behaviour, drugs offences, sexual assault and assaulting emergency workers.
