video of new Santiago Bernabeu released

Fans of Real Madrid have had the chance to see what the club’s iconic Santiago Bernabeu will look like once the ambitious renovations have been completed.

Los Blancos have played their home games at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano – the land used by their reserve team – while the refurbishment has taken place, with the renovation work of course costing as much as £ 700 million.

The renovation has not gone as smoothly as the club had sometimes hoped, with a small fire that broke out inside the arena just a few months ago. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

The transition will be completed sometime in 2022, and Madrid fans have now been offered the chance to see exactly what the club’s new home will look like next summer.

The American company Hetzel Design has created a video that shows the futuristic design, with both the inside and the outside of the arena – to be honest, it looks like a strange video that they would show at the Eurovision Song Contest but we go with it.

The video also shows the incredible retractable roof that will be added during the renovation.

The stadium will be a versatile meeting place when the upgrade is complete, with music concerts and sporting events – in addition to Real Madrid’s home matches – there.

Good night from Madrid! ?????????

While the president of La Liga giants Florentino Perez has not yet suggested that the renovations may take longer than the current proposed deadline in the summer of 2022, the latest photos of the arena show that the date may be a bit ambitious.

Madrid’s news outlet Marca has shared a video showing what the interior of Real Madrid’s home currently looks like, and to say that there is still a lot of work to do would be an understatement.
