Tosin Emerges as Maresca’s Inaugural Signing at Chelsea

Earlier this week, Fulham released news of Tosin Adarabioyo’s exit, and he swiftly secured a fresh squad.

Chelsea joyfully declared Tosin Adarabioyo’s accession via a gratis transfer deal.

Formalizing a quartet of seasons with Chelsea, Tosin finalized his medical checks this week, marking him as Enzo Maresca’s debut recruit.

Rejecting a fresh offer earlier in the year, Fulham disclosed last Tuesday Tosin’s plan to exit post-contract expiry later this month.

Despite the courtings by Newcastle United and Manchester United, Tosin chose Chelsea, influenced by prior ties with Maresca at Manchester City and the pull of European pitches.

Tosin shared, “Joining Chelsea feels like coming full circle. Born merely three miles from Stamford Bridge, I debuted professionally there [in Manchester City colors].”

He continued, “Victory is the objective. It’s pretty simple. I yearn to bolster the squad and propel our club forward. I can’t wait to commence.”

Throughout his tenure at Fulham since 2020, Tosin participated in 132 games across competitions, clinching the Championship crown in the 2021-22 season.

In the previous Premier League season, the 26-year-old made 20 appearances with Fulham, netting a duo of goals.
