Sunshine provides an update on Pogba

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has responded to transfer talks about Manchester United star Paul Pogba and says that “talks are underway” about a new contract for the Frenchman, who “looks forward to the season” in the future.

The 28-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the 2021/22 campaign, which could see him leave the club for a discounted fee this summer or go away for nothing in July 2022. He has also rejected the Red Devils’ latest offer, which has brought interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Man Utd manager Solskjaer discussed Pogba’s contract situation after the Red Devils’ 4-2 defeat against Queens Park Rangers in Saturday’s left season, which confirmed that the club is still in talks with its representatives about a new contract.

“There is always speculation that Paul and clubs are interested, and we have seen Paul as the best,” said Solskjær.

“Paul knows what we think about it and I have had my time working with him and hopefully we can work together. The conversations between the club and Paul’s representatives, I’m not in detail for each of them. I have nothing to say about it. We will see what happens.”

Solskjaer went so far as to suggest that Pogba “look forward to the season” with Man Utd and suggests that the Frenchman may not leave Old Trafford in the summer.

Talks are underway between Paul’s representatives and the club’s representatives. All the dialogue I have had with Paul is that he is looking forward to the season. ”

Pogba is attracting surprising interest from a number of potential buyers, and Man Utd have even expected a formal offer from the French giants PSG to arrive in the next few days.

Les Parisiens may intensify their attempts to lure the midfielder away from Manchester, after news broke that the former Juventus star had rejected the Red Devils’ latest offer, which is believed to be in the region of £ 350,000 a week.

Man Utd may be forced to sell Pogba to one of their European rivals in the next few weeks if he refuses to put paper on paper about a new deal. The Premier League uniforms already had to watch their youth academy product go away for nothing back in 2012, and they hope to avoid a recurrence of it a decade later.
