Andy Robertson buzzes about syncing up with new Liverpool skipper Arne Slot, optimistic about extending the club’s form under Jurgen Klopp.

Slot took the reins at Liverpool on Saturday post his tenure at Feyenoord. His haul there included an Eredivisie title in 2023 and the KNVB Beker this season along with two Manager of the Year accolades.

Despite not yet chatting with Slot, Robertson is keen to see what Liverpool’s upcoming season has in stock under his guidance.

“I haven’t caught up with [Slot] yet,” Robertson shared with Sky Sports as he gears up for Scotland’s Euro campaign. “Seems he’s giving us space to focus on the Euros.”

“I’m hyped about this new voyage. Sure, the prior epoch was stellar, and I owe plenty to that then-boss, but the prospect of fresh insights and direction thrills me.”

“I’ve got solid vibes we’ll maintain our drive. Everyone speaks highly of the new gaffer, and I’m jazzed to witness his approach firsthand.”

Klopp snapped Liverpool’s 30-year league title drought by nabbing the Premier League in 2020 and left after securing multiple trophies including the Champions League and the FA Cup.

Robertson confesses replacing Klopp is a tall order but holds faith in a vibrant launch under Slot’s leadership.

“Those last years were something else. Transitioning might feel like a leap into the unknown but holds excitement; the team’s robust, our last season was strong,” he noted further.

“True, it could’ve been better, but our objective was to hit the Champions League, and we snagged a trophy too. Let’s view that optimistically.”

“[Klopp] has set a solid foundation; now it’s our job to advance it. Slot’s gonna craft a top-notch squad, likely with new members.”

“We must press forward. We vied for the league most of last season; maintaining that effort is pivotal. The new boss has a trophy-winning touch, and he’s eager to keep that streak going. To triumph, we need to be on our A-game.”
