Foden Exits England’s Euro 2024 Squad to Address Urgent Family Concerns

Phil Foden has exited the England team’s base less than a day after the Slovenia stalemate in Group C’s concluding match.

Barely 24 hours post their draw, Foden parted ways with the squad in the European Championship.

A spokesperson for the FA revealed that Foden had to hightail it back to Britain due to urgent familial obligations.

Last night, the Manchester City prodigy was on the pitch for almost the entire game, clocking 89 minutes against Slovenia.

Throughout the group phase, Foden was a starter, appearing in the matches against Serbia and Denmark, which ended in a win and a 1-1 tie respectively.

Having clinched the top spot in Cologne, the team is set to compete in the round of 16 this coming Sunday at Gelsenkirchen’s Arena AufSchalke.
