Evans Nears Agreement on Exciting New Contract with Manchester United

Manchester United has disclosed their roster of retainees to the Premiership. Concurrently, they’re hashing out an extension for stalwart Jonny Evans.

Evans, who initially donned the United jersey from 2004 to 2012, grabbing three Premiership crowns, rejoined the squad at the dawn of the 2023-24 season under a one-year engagement at Old Trafford.

During the pre-season, the Northern Ireland back sharpened his form with the team, signed a fleeting contract in September, and racked up 30 caps across various tournaments.

United has now revealed they are in parley with the 36-year-old for a new agreement to secure his services for the 2024-25 season.

Negotiations are ongoing with goalkeeper Tom Heaton for an extended tenure. Young frontman Omari Forson, aged 19, who debuted in the Premiership and featured seven times total, received an offer but rumors swirl of his possible exit.

Both Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane are set to vacate Old Trafford at the end of June after 317 and 95 games respectively. Academy product Brandon Williams is also slated to leave.
