Emery declares Aston Villa primed for their most monumental test yet

Unai Emery deems the Europa Conference League face-off against Olympiacos as Aston Villa’s toughest trial this year.

Villa finds themselves behind 4-2 following an unexpected loss in the semi-final first leg at Villa Park last week.

Although gunning for a top-four finish in the Premier League, Emery believes that trying to reverse the deficit in Greece will be Villa’s ultimate challenge.

“This is the hurdle we must clear tomorrow, the most significant test we’ll encounter this year, competing in this semi-final,” mentioned Emery.

“I will seek out top performances tomorrow and strive to be highly competitive.

“Undoubtedly, the upcoming away game will be extremely tough due to the raucous home crowd.

“Throughout the 90 minutes, we must maintain focus on every tactical aspect, keep our emotions in check, manage set-pieces meticulously, and more.”

Either Olympiacos or Villa will go up against Fiorentina in the final on May 29, as the Serie A side triumphed over Club Brugge on Wednesday.
