Eden Hazard returns to Real Madrid training camp and may be ready to face Liverpool

Eden Hazard has imagined training with the Real Madrid squad as he continues his comeback from an injury that had threatened to exclude him for the rest of the season.

Since he moved to Madrid in 2019, Belgium has been subjected to an injured tormented time in the Spanish capital with many spells on the side, which means he has only made 25 league appearances for the club.

Hazard returned to the first line-up against Elche last month after missing Real’s previous six La Liga appearances after being knocked out by Levante.

However, his 15-minute como appearance saw him pick up a psoas injury and he then missed the second leg of his team’s last 16 Champions League clash with Atalanta.

Apparently baffled by the striker’s persistent fitness problems, manager Zinedine Zidane claimed he could not explain the problems Hazard experienced after the victory over Elche, with reports suggesting he may have to undergo surgery.

In a huge boost for Zidane and the club, Hazard has now been pictured in training with his real teammates, where Marca reports that he can be in good time to be in his team’s quarter final in the Champions League with Liverpool on Tuesday.

There was further good news for Zidane as Toni Kroos was also pictured attending the session.

The German midfielder was sent home from international service recently after tests showed he was suffering from an adductor injury.

Joachim Low insisted that the move was only a precautionary measure with Euro 2020 just a few months away and instead chose to send the midfielder back to Madrid rather than risk aggravating the pitch in Die Mannschaften’s March matches.

It is still unclear if any player will be ready to take part in Real’s La Liga clash with Eibar on Saturday, although early indications are that they should both be fit for next week’s Premier League Champions Liverpool match.
