Barcelona’s award for Ousmane Dembele revealed

Ousmane Dembele could be available for less than £ 50m in the summer after contract talks between him and Barcelona stopped, according to reports.

Dembele’s current contract will expire at the end of next season and it is not certain that he will sign new terms before then.

According to Sport, the forwarder’s representatives have not yet responded to a contract that Barcelona made two weeks ago. If an agreement cannot be found, Blaugrana would probably be keen to move on in the summer to avoid losing him for free next year.

Since Dembele arrived at Camp Nou in 2017, he has been subjected to an injury time and is missing almost 90 matches with various fitness problems. In addition to struggling to stay in shape, the Frenchman has also suffered disciplinary problems.

When he has played, his performances have been mixed. He showed promise during the 2018/19 season and registered 11 goals and five assists. After missing the majority of the last campaign, he has fought for consistency this time and scored five La Liga goals in 25 appearances.

Ousmane Dembélé’s representatives are negotiating with Juventus for his free transfer at the end of his contract in June 2022.

Barcelona are desperate not to let him leave for free and will accept 50 million euros this summer.

With his contract being terminated, it is understood that Dembele can be signed for between 44 million and 53 million. This would mean a significant loss for Barcelona, who parted with over 100 million pounds to get him from Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Juventus – who have apparently begun negotiations for a free transfer next summer – have all been mentioned as possible destinations.

It is unlikely that Dembele will be the only player to leave Barcelona this summer. Lionel Messi’s contract expires at the end of the season, with Manchester City close to signing him last summer. With the club in unbelievable debt, other older players may also be shown the exit door.
