Independent journalist Khaled Drareni, head of the news website Casbah Tribune and Ihsane el-Kadi, head of Radio M and Emerging Maghreb, indicate that they have been questioned by internal security.

In a text published on social networks, Khaled Drareni explained that questions were asked about his meetings with French journalists present in Algiers for the legislative election, his relations with two organizations classified as terrorists since last month or the funding he has.

Ihsan el-Kadi was questioned, he explains, about the use of crowdfunding for an investigative journalism award, training of journalists, 2015, as part of a collaborative project with the French agency CFI. Or the origin of a petition criticizing the upcoming election.

Khaled Drareni is on bail after almost 11 months in prison. He was released in February last year. Ihsan el-Kadi is under legal supervision and is accused in particular of false information that could undermine national unity. They condemn the arbitrariness of these arrests and harassment.
