Waddani Leader Accuses President Bihi of Stoking Unrest to Dodge Elections

Hargeisa (AX) – Hirsi Ali Haji Hassan, leading the helm of North Western of Somalia’s Waddani Party, declared that President Muse Bihi Abdi ought to face repercussions for misdeeds during his tenure.

Addressing a gathering in Hargeisa on Sunday night, Hirsi stated, “This very night, the prime individual needing accountability is Bihi. Considering what transpired in our nation and his current predicament, he must answer for his actions.”

He implicated the president in reneging on a pact brokered by East Buro elders, steered by insurgents in the Gan-libah mountains, to incite discord and dodge elections.

“We’re asserting the populace is aware and anticipating the elections. What you’re discussing is baseless. Nonetheless, we honor the accord of the authorities,” remarked Hirsi.

Hirsi’s remarks followed President Bihi’s Saturday proclamation that insurgents in Gan-libah mountains, responsible for a deadly police ambush last year, would face justice.

Meanwhile, Waddani Party nominee Abdirahman Irro, addressing the crowd, pledged to foster unity among the people of North Western of Somalia should he emerge victorious in the elections.
