Mino Raiola and Erling Haaland’s father were waiting in London

Mino Raiola and Erling Haaland’s father are expected to continue their European tour on Friday, when they go to London to discuss the striker’s future with a number of top English clubs.

Haaland’s future has been the city’s talks this week, but the situation became a parody of itself on Thursday when a circus of reports, originating from the Spanish outlet SPORT, claimed that agent Raiola and Alf Inge Haaland had arrived in Spain for talks with Barcelona and Real Madrid.

These were confirmed in principle when Fabrizio Romano entered the fray with a series of tweets explaining the situation. The Haaland party met with Barcelona president Joan Laporta early on Thursday morning before flying to Madrid for talks with Real.

While Thursday’s development weighed on the proposals La Liga could be the Norwegian next destination, however, a report from Mundo Deportivo claims that the Premier League’s best and brightest get the same courtesy.

They say the two are expected in London on Friday to meet with representatives from four Premier League clubs – Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Of these four, City seem to be clear favorites. 90 minutes have reported their interest since February, and with Sergio Aguero’s resignation now confirmed, they will be looking for a new No. 9 in this summer’s transfer window.

Mino Raiola meets Real Madrid after Barcelona and the plan for #Haaland is so clear: talk to five interested top clubs, their projects, proposals and then decide for the future. It will be a long race.

And there is no one more attractive than Haaland who has emerged as one of the best strikers on the planet since arriving at Dortmund from RB Salzburg. He has, on average, scored one goal per game in the Bundesliga … a freak return from a player who does not even turn 21 in a few more months.

All reports suggest that Dortmund are keen to stick with him for another season, but in reality they are likely to make money if a significant offer comes. It is common knowledge that the player has a release clause of 75 million euros in his contract which will be active from the summer of 2022, so the upcoming transfer window represents their last realistic chance to get a fee close to their valuation of 150 million euros.

But in any case, we should not expect any harsh news about Haaland’s situation yet. The current meeting is simply used by Raiola to get a feel for what is on offer, and it will probably be the summer before we know where, or if he will.
