Ipswich Town Secures Exciting Acquisitions: Hutchinson and Johnson Join the Squad

Ipswich Town has snagged Omari Hutchinson from Chelsea, splurging a club-record amount, while Ben Johnson has also hopped over from West Ham.

Hutchinson, whose transfer reportedly hit £20 million including bonuses, committed to a four-year stint. His previous season with Ipswich in the Championship proved stellar.

During his loan, Hutchinson graced the pitch 50 times for Ipswich, netting 11 goals and providing six assists, instrumental in their ascent to the Premier League.

Simultaneously, the Tractor Boys have enlisted Johnson, securing his services with a free transfer on a five-year pact this Monday.

Rejecting a fresh offer from West Ham, the defender chose to part ways with the club as his contract wound down by late June.

Since his 2019 debut, Johnson, a product of the Hammers’ academy, has defended in 109 matches for their first squad.
