Controversy arose in Kenya this week over the authorities’ silence on the deaths of troopers from the African Union’s mission in Somalia in an assault. The brother of one among the troopers killed occurs to be a former presidential candidate who has publicly regretted the dearth of feedback or reward from the federal government.
