Germany Job Recruitment Set to Begin in Two Weeks – Ruto Announces
President Ruto announced that within a fortnight, Kenyans would commence recruitment for jobs in Germany, stemming from a recently inked labour mobility agreement between the two nations.
During his Sunday address, Ruto disclosed that the first wave of recruitment is slated for September 27, 2024.
Many doubted his earlier claims about the imminent start of the program, but Ruto pointed out, “When I mentioned that Kenyan youths would have opportunities to work in Germany, skeptics said I was fibbing. However, this Friday, they realized the plan is solid and viable. Some Kenyans were already gainfully employed there.”
He reassured the congregation, “Moreover, the initial recruitment round of Kenyan youths for jobs in Germany is set for September 27.”
This follows the signing of the Comprehensive Agreement on Sharing of Labour, Talent, and Mobility between Kenya and Germany in Berlin last Saturday.
The accord paves the way for 250,000 skilled and semi-skilled Kenyan workers to partake in a well-regulated labor migration program to Germany.
Germany has pledged to relax certain immigration statutes to facilitate employment opportunities for Kenyans in its vast economy.
The agreement also ensures smoother repatriation of Kenyans residing in Germany without proper documentation.
President Ruto emphasized that disbelief in his statements stems from a lack of faith among his critics. “They walk by sight, not by faith,” he said.
He expressed unwavering confidence in divine intervention for Kenya, proclaiming, “I am certain that God’s will shall manifest in Kenya. No individual, no force can obstruct this divine plan for our nation.”
The President was accompanied by Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, and several Nairobi MPs during the church service at Stewards Revival Pentecostal Church in Embakasi.
Numerous MCA’s were also in attendance alongside President Ruto.
