Family in Garowe Denounces Son’s Burial, Demands Justice for Fatal Security Forces Encounter

Northeastern State’s security forces recently declared an operation against contraband weaponry and narcotics, which ended in casualties and injuries. They admitted accountability. Yet, the deceased’s kin allege the security personnel stonewalled their appeals and brushed off discussing the incident.

Hiiraan Online inquired, and Garowe General Hospital’s management explained that the Northeastern State Ministry of Health recently issued a mandate. This decree bars them from keeping corpses in the hospital’s storage except for unidentified bodies or those needing post-mortem examinations.
