Sherri Shepherd says this “makes the load drop”

Sherri Shepherd set a weight loss target of 15 pounds earlier this year – and she has already exceeded that. In April, Shepherd revealed for Closer every week that she had gained 25 pounds during the pandemic, with the gain that gave her an incentive to get her eating and exercise habits on track.

Now the star has lost a total of 35 pounds in total since she began her health journey and revealed the only thing that “makes the weight fall off” for her. On June 29, Shepherd recently posted a photo of her slim body to Instagram and told her followers how she lost the last pound.

“Started this weight loss journey 8 months ago, but making other changes in my life helped me lose even more pounds … getting consistent sleep, meditation, finding a good therapist who would help me unpack pain … forgive those who have hurt me … more acceptance … less religion & more relationship … discover that God loves me no matter what (yes I am freaky and I curse?), more water, more walks … to be grateful, find my value … say no … had to say goodbye to some friends who were not good to me, Shepherd said. “Peace makes the weight fall off.”

Instead of keeping a single weight loss goal in mind, Shepherd has also celebrated its non-scaled victories.
In a June 15 Instagram video, Shepherd revealed that she had recently challenged herself to fit into a particular outfit for a look of Kelly Clarkson Show, a goal she was proud to face. “It was my birthday goal to fit into this cat costume. With lots of asparagus, grilled chicken, bone broth and dense spanx, I did it,” she wrote the caption.

Shepherd has shown her culinary creations on Instagram, explains her meal choices to followers along the way. On May 25, she posted a photo of a salad with vegetables and beans to her account and told her followers: “I want a No. 2 with french fries. Yes I do, but I love how I feel better than that. cheeseburger it would clog my arteries and inflame the tissue around my heart, cause diabetes to suffocate my life.I like this feeling of feeling good! Just want to encourage you to put down the salt shaker, add more vegetables to your plate and drink more water! You have so much to live for! “
