Tottenham complete signing of Hungarian international

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of 24-year-old Hungarian midfielder Anna Csiki.

She joins the north London club from Swedish side BK Hacken and has signed a four-year deal that runs until 2028. Csiki will wear the number 14 shirt for Spurs next season.

The midfielder began her career in her home country with Budapest-based club Ferencvaros, which she joined at the age of 13. After eight years, and two Hungarian top titles, she moved to Gothenburg FC – now known as BK Hacken – in 2020.

There she played 69 games and scored seven goals. In Sweden, she won a league title and was a regular in the UEFA Women's Champions League.

Spurs boss Robert Vilahman previously worked with Csiki at Hacken, coaching the team as assistant and then head coach, between 2020 and 2023. He later joined Tottenham in the summer of 2023 and guided the team to their first ever FA Cup Final last season.

Csiki becomes Spurs' sixth signing of the summer, joining the likes of Hayley Raso, Clare Hunt and Ella Morris through the door. However, they have lost some big names in Grace Clinton, who returned to her parent club at the end of last season, as well as Celin Bizet, both to Manchester United.
