Striker Giroud Set to Make Move to MLS After Season Ends with AC Milan

Olivier Giroud revealed that he will depart Milan for the MLS when his current deal expires, bidding farewell to Europe after a stint in Milan that culminated in a Serie A title.

In the summer of 2021, the French striker made the switch to Milan from Chelsea, where he achieved success during his debut season by lifting the Serie A trophy.

With a record of 48 goals from 130 appearances in all competitions, including 16 goals this season, Giroud played a pivotal role in securing a runner-up finish for Milan.

Speaking to the club’s media platforms, Giroud emotionally shared, “I want to announce that the next two matches will be my final outings for Milan. My MLS journey will begin soon.”

Reflecting on his three seasons at Milan, Giroud expressed his pride in his accomplishments, stating, “As I bid farewell, I am filled with emotion. Milan holds a special place in my heart forever.”

While Giroud remained tight-lipped about his MLS destination, rumors circulated that LAFC might be his next stop, possibly teaming up with compatriot Hugo Lloris.
